My mother is in an assisted living facility. What do I have to do before her money runs out? How do I get medicaid for her and find out where she could live?

We just moved our Dad into a personal care home in the Pgh. area. Our Dad said he was getting little to eat. When we questioned the owner he said it was at the end of the month and money is tight. Don't these PCH have regulations to follow?

I have heard that veterans are eligible for funding if they are living in assisted living or other facilities. Is this correct, what are the requirements, and how do I find out more about it?

My in-laws are in their 80's. My father-in-law had a stroke and is now experiencing signs of dementia. They both live in their home. If my Mother-in-law had to go to the hospital, is there a facility where we can house my father-in-law until she's out of the hospital? He could not stay alone and cannot take care of himself. And of course he would fight not to come to our house. What do you suggest we should do if this situation arises?

When I was growing up in Illinois, my grandmother used to call a telephone number that gave the current date, time and temperature. I know a senior who recently moved to an assisted living facility in Monroeville, PA. Do you know of a phone number such as this that she can call? She does not have access to a computer and she rarely watches television, so I thought a phone number might giving her the current date and time might be nice. She gets confused sometimes on what day it is, etc… Thanks for any help!
