Problems with Home Health Service

Complaints on facilities, home health care agencies, and hospices in Pennsylvania can be filed with the Pennsylvania Department of Health. The information below is posted on their website at: www.dsf.health.state.pa.us/.../view.asp

The Division of Home Health maintains a toll-free Home Health Hotline to receive complaints concerning the care provided by home health agencies, hospices, and ESRD facilities.  The toll-free number is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  During the course of normal business hours, the hotline messages are retrieved daily.  During off-hours and non-business days, the callers should leave a message on the answering machine.  

When leaving a message the caller should include the following information:

Their name and telephone number including area code
The name of the home health agency
The nature of the complaint

Calls are returned the next working day.
