Senior Mom Can't Afford Eyeglasses

by Admin 29. April 2009 18:03
Hi! Mom is a senior citizen. She just went to her eye doctor today but we came back home because the total cost is too high. My mom is still working, she works in the field. She's low income. I was wondering if you have a program for senior citizen benefits like for eye care and other benefits. My mom couldn't afford her eye glasses. She's having a hard time with her eyesight. Hope you could help her out. Thanks!

1. A US citizen or legal resident
2. 65 and older
3. Have not seen an ophthalmologist in three years

I've heard about a program through Lenscrafters, but don't know anyone who's used it. It's called OneSight. I got this information from the Lenscrafter website. I guess you call your nearest store to find out more about it.

LensCrafters
OneSight. One World. One Passion. OneSightSM
More than 250 million adults and children worldwide suffer from poor vision because they don't have access to eye exams and eyeglasses. That's why LensCrafters is so proud to be part of OneSight. Founded in 1988 and inspired by LensCrafters, OneSight, a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization, is a family of charitable programs dedicated to improving vision for those in need through outreach, research and education. And through OneSight, our employees (along with doctors of optometry) hand-deliver eye care and eye wear worldwide through Global Eye Care Clinics and here at home through Regional Eye Care and Vision Van Clinics and through in-store programs.
