I'm no Medicare expert, but I do know that different insurance companies provide the Medicare plans in each different area. Here is some information that might be helpful: You can find Pennsylvania plans, who offers them, and how much they cost Medicare Plans by State on medicare.gov: www.medicare.gov/.../SelectState.asp%7C7%7CWinXP&language=English&defaultstatus=0&ViewType=Public&PDPYear=2008&MAPDYear=2008&MPDPF%5FMPPF%5FIntegrate=N The Apprise Program 1-800-783-7067 PA state program available to assist consumers who have questions about their health insurance, medical bills, and prescription coverage. I would suggest that she contact the Medicare office at 1-800-633-4227 or the APPRISE program (insurance counseling) at 1-800-783-7067. Answer by: Allegheny County Area Agency on Aging

State and Federal legislative representives should be able to help a new resident moving to their legislative district. They are usually willing to research the procedures to follow for a smooth transition. A call to the Social Security Administration should also provide the info you need. Answer by: Nick Borrelli
